The way I believe Jesus!
Last time I said, if everyone believe Jesus the way I do all these disasters will not happen!
It is logical that I lay out in open the way I believe Jesus!
Preface: One way to know a person is examine what he does in his life.
1. Apostle John put it this way--> This is how we know who are the children of God and who are the children of the devil.
Anyone who does not do righteousness is not a child of God... 1 John 3:10
2. The ultimate purpose in believe and preaching Jesus is so that there will be glory to God in the highest
and peace to men on earth on whom God’s favor rests. Luke 2:14
A. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Eph.5:18
1. This is a clear and simple instruction!
2. I want all to know how I put this teaching into practice in my life!
3. I do not even drink wine! Because I want to make sure that I will never get drunk on wine!
According to what I know, if I don’t drink wine, I will never get drunk on wine!
4. I know many others practice it this way--> I can drink wine, as long as I don’t get drunk on wine!
These people deserve my admiration! They have more confidence in themselves than I!
5. I doubt one can drink wine and not get drunk on wine in his life time!
6. There is this description on a kind of friends in the world--> wine and meat friend!
I had seen wine and meat friends got drunk on wine once a while!
B. The second part of Eph.5:18--> Be filled with the Spirit!
1. I know many may not even know what be filled with the Spirit mean!
2. For your knowledge let me guide you through!
a. This is the one who came by water and blood-- Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only,
but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 1 John 5:6
b. Sanctify them by the truth; thy word is truth. John 17:17
c. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Tim.3:16-17
3. I have yet to know those who say I can drink wine as long as I don’t get drunk on wine filled with the word of God more than I!
I wish I am wrong on this one!
C. Be ye free from the love of money, content with what you have… Hebrew 13:5
1. I hope everyone knows the love of money is the root of all evil! 1 Timothy 6:10
2. Living in this corrupted world, everyone needs to become able to say-->
The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? Hebrew 13:6
3. To be able to say Heb.13:6, one has to practice Heb.13:5 first!
My family and I came to N.Y.C. 40 years ago, I was determined not to love money!
You all know, I am still free from the love of money. I am content with what I have!
4. It is amazing, I can still say, the Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid, what can man do to me?
D. When comes to practice ‘not forsaking our own assembling together’. Hebrew 10:25
Everyone here in this church know very well, in the last 40 years, I have yet to miss one time!
By the grace of God, nothing and no one can make me miss Sunday worship to God yet!
E. Conclusion:
1. If everyone believe Jesus the way I do, all these man made disasters will not happen!
I can not even imagine how can a human murder another human!
2. If everyone believe Jesus the way I do, there would be no denomination in this world!
I can not imagine how can a human join a denomination knowing denomination is warped,
sinful and self-condemned! Titus 3:10-11
3. If everyone believe Jesus the way I do, N.Y.C. would have 8 million people in the church!
4. If everyone believe Jesus the way I do, 99% regulations can be eliminated!
5. If everyone believe Jesus the way I do, no judge and no court needed in the world!
6. I pray to God, all of you can say what I said in this sermon!
