Do not depend on the goods you have done!

Do not depend on the goods you have done!

As I said last Sunday, if all believe Jesus as I do, no court house, no judges needed in this world!

All would be working hard to make their own ends meet.

Every Sunday, N..Y.C. alone will have 8 million people worship God in the churches of Christ!

Yes, it was reported in 2013 Americans lost 119 billion in gambling.

As I said, all believe Jesus as I do.

Do not gamble alone would save 119 billion!

I can imagine with this 119 billion how much good we can do for the society!

I believe I have done many good things. Once a while someone walk in to church to say thank you!

As for myself and all others who may be in the same boat!

This sermon is a natural outcome!

Yes, we all must know, we cannot depend on all the goods which we think we have done to be saved!

A. All good doing people must remember these teaching! Eze.18:20-24

1. The soul who sins is the one who will die.

2. The son will not share the guilt of the father,

nor will the father share the guilt of the son.

3. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him.

4. The wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him.

5. But if a wicked man turns away from all the sins he has committed

and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right,

he will surely live; he will not die.

None of the offenses he has committed will be remembered against him.

Because of the righteous things he has done, he will live.

6. Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? Declares the Sovereign LORD.

Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?

7. But if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin

and does the same detestable things the wicked man does, will he live?

None of the righteous things he has done will be remembered.     Because of the unfaithfulness he is guilty of and because of the sins he has committed, he will die.

B. Test everything. Hold on to the good.  Avoid every kind of evil. 1 Thes.5:21-22

1. You, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. 1 Tim.6:11

2. Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace,

along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Tim.2:22

3. For, "Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech.

He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it.

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer,

but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” 1 Peter 3:10-12

4. Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts,

   which war against the soul.

Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles:

that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works,

which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. 1 Peter 2:11-12

C. Keep on doing the good to the end of life!

1. Many will say to me on that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name,

and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Matt.7:22

2. Then I will tell them plainly, `I never knew you.

Away from me, you evildoers!' Matt.7:23

3. The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.

Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, "See, you are well again.

Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you." John 5:13-14

4. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,

which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph.2:10

5. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people,

especially to those who belong to the family of believers. Gal.6:10

6. Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer.

I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you,

and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death,

and I will give you the crown of life. Rev.2:10

May God bless you and keep you always! Preach this 12/7/2014
