Love neighbor, good works and harvest!

A. This is how to practice love your neighbor! Luke 10:27-35

1. Who is my neighbor? Luke 10:27

2. A man was robbed and left half dead lying on the road. Luke 10:30

3. A priest passed by, saw him, walked away from him. 10:31

4. A Levite passed by, saw him, walked away from him. 10:32

5. A Samaritan passed by, saw him, he stayed to bandaged his wounds, pouring oil and wine.

     Put him on his donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him. 10:33-34

6. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper and promised return to pay any extra expense! 10:35

7. This Samaritan is the neighbor of the wounded man! 10:36

8. Being neighbor is a two street. Anyone who is in need of help is our neighbor!

B. To practice love our neighbor, God’s guiding hand is needed!

1. This Samaritan was afforded with the opportunity happened to pass by that road!

     Only God can make this happen!

2. We can only provide help as much as God has already made them available to us! 1 Peter 4:11

3. To help this half dead neighbor on the road, the Samaritan has to have all these:

    Willingness, time, bandages, oil, wine, donkey, money and the know how!

4. In New York City, government official advice is that you call 911 and wait for police to do the help!

C. There are five flowers and eight doors to do good works!

1. Like Bill Gate, you can do it in your own name with you own money!

2. Organize a foundation line up a group of money givers to do it!

3. In the name of a religion to do the job.

4. No God believers can do.

5. Roman Catholic Church are very popular in charitable works.

6. Idol worship people can do it.

7. Individual denomination church can do it such as Presbyterian, Baptist, Methodist, Mormon….

8. The harvest of all these good works fame in the world. And the world will become nothing!

    The harvest may be condemned with denominations!

    Denomination is warped, sinful and self-condemned! Titus 3:10-11

9. The harvest may be as Jesus said: You evil doers, depart from me, I never knew you! Matt.7:21-23

D. If good works done in the churches of Christ the harvest are these: 2 Cor.9:9-13

1. He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.  2Cor.9:9

2. Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store

    of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 2 Cor.9:10

3. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through

    us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. 2 Cor.9:11

4. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing

    in many expressions of thanks to God. 2 Cor.9:12

5. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience

    that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them

    and with everyone else. 2 Cor.9:13

6. This way you can make what Jesus said a real reality!

    Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which

    is in heaven. Matt.5:16

E. Some charitable works have to accompany with this instruction!

1. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you. John 5:13-14

2. Jesus said: Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more! John 8:11
