Believe Jesus the way I do, these evil things disappear!

Believe Jesus the way I do, these evil things disappear! (2)

A. What are these things?

Such as smoke, do drug, drunk, gamble, adultery, steal, rob, murder, suicide, police kill people, people kill police, etc.

Just imagine, if 8 million people in N.Y.C. believe Jesus and not do these things!

Here are the scriptures I based on for not doing these evil things!

1. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness,

not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision

for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.  Romans 13:13-14

2. The know how and desire to drink, smoke, gamble and filthy words are earthly and devilish!

James 3:15-16 This wisdom descend not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

3. People do these kind of things do not belong to the church of Christ!

For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person-- such a man is an idolater—

has any inheritance in the church of Christ and of God. Eph.5:5

B. Love each other and forgive each other.

1. John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you,

that ye also love one another.

By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

2. For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matt.6:14-15

3. Jesus said: Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing…. Luke 23:34

C. Hunger, thirst, naked and homeless is not a reason for stealing!

1. Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have

    no certain dwelling-place;  and we toil, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless;

being persecuted, we endure; being defamed, we entreat: we are made as the filth of the world,

the off scouring of all things, even until now. 1 Cor.4:11-13

2. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, If any will not work, neither let him eat.

We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busybodies.

Now them that are such we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness

they work, and eat their own bread. 2 Thes.3:10-12

3. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that

is good, that he may have whereof to give to him that hath need. Eph.4:28

4. On the one hand we are to lend without expecting anything back. Luke 6:35

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back.

5. On the other hand we are to owe no man anything! Romans 13:8

All evils connected with debt will surely disappear forever!

D. Forty years I did not miss one Sunday worship to God!

This is how I practice the teaching in Heb.10:25.

I am determined to stay this way for a long time!

Do not forsake our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting, and so much

the more, as you see the day drawing near. Heb.10:25

You can do the same!  Always be there in worship to God according to what says in the Bible!

When I preach like this, why don't I feel that I am proud and should feel shame about myself?

Because I love all of you, all I think about is

that I want all of you to believe Jesus the way I do, so you can save both your body and soul!

E. Why do many so call believers do evil?

1. While evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 2 Tim.3:13

2. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:22

3. Let your `Yes' be `Yes,' and `No,' be `No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.  Matt.5:37

4. Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests. Luke 2:14

May the Lord bless you and keep you always.  Preach this January 4, 2015.
