Each man has his own insists!
I insist to stay in my Father’s house hold on to what is in the Bible!
Others insist to grab a handful of teaching in the Bible and build their own kinds of religions!
A. There was a man who has 2 sons.
1. The younger sons grab what he wanted from his father’s house and departed to a far away country.
2. In wild living, he wasted all he had and became so poor that he can’t even afford to eat pig food!
3. Before he starved to death, he came to his sense and went back to his father!
4. The younger son was blessed because he was in big trouble! Otherwise he would be lost forever!
5. There are many younger sons who grabbed what they wanted and depart from the Father and
successfully build their own kinds of religions! These are lost forever!
B. In this story we see the older son stay with his father to the end!
1. This is where I come to this theme--> Each man has his own insists #3!
2. In this real world, there are people who grab what they wanted from God and departed!
3. Unfortunately, many have great success after they departed from the Father!
While living on in the world they thought they are doing great works for the Lord! Matt.7:21-23
4. In my 50 some years of preaching, many religious leaders brag about their great success for serving
God in ways that are foreign to what is in the Bible!
5. They said to me: John, you preach what is in the Bible.
How big is your church building, how many people in your church?
6. Think, John why is it, we have a lot more people and our church buildings are bigger…
Why God blessed us a lot more than bless you! God love us more than love you!
7. Thus, these kinds of people never even think about coming back to the Father!
C. In reality, all religions and denominations had grab what they wanted from God and departed!
1. They departed farther and farther away from what is in the Bible!
2. They insist that their way is right and better! Because they had much greater success in the world!
3. As for me, I insist to be like the elder son, stay with my Father to the end of my life!
D. Here are my logical reasons from the Bible!
1. God created the first man, Adam. Gen.1:26, 2:7
2. Adam lay with his wife Eve and she gave birth to Cain. Gen.4:1
3. Later she gave birth to another son, Abel. Gen.4:2
4. In the course of time Cain and Abel brought offerings to worship the Creator God. Gen.4:3-4
5. My point is, when comes to worship God.
At the beginning, man worship the God who created him. His children worship this same God.
6. If all men follow this same way, all men on earth would still be worshiping this same God!
7. Worship to any other gods is a result of a rebellion to God and his father!
Put it in a more gentle way--> worship to any other gods would be like the younger son, in a twist.
They grab what they wanted from God departed and have great success in the world!
E. Please study these scriptures in the Bible!
1. The creator God said: You shall have no other gods before me. Ex.20:3
2. If you ever forget the Lord your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them,
I testify against you today, that you will surely be destroyed. Deu.8:19
3. Do you wonder why many departed from God and find great success in this world? 2 Thes.2:10-12
They insist to go their own ways in worship to God and God gave them a powerful delusion!
4. But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto
fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 2 Peter 3:7
5. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering to
us ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
6. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away
with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that
are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10
Conclusion: If others can insist what is not in the Bible, I can insist what is in the Bible!
As we can see, man has his own insists! We will have to wait for the Lord to decide at the final judgment day!
