Man has his own insists.7
Aggravate me not to death!
I insist to go back to the tradition started by Jesus, the Father in heaven!
By the grace of God, in my growing up neighborhood, I developed this philosophy in life!
You aggravate me not to death! I aggravate you not to death!
As I said, each man has his own insists! This is insist number 7!
When comes to believe Jesus, I insist to follow what is in the Bible!
Others insist to follow what is not in the Bible!
A. Ten evil not forgiven!
1. My thought in mind for this sermon is in Acts 2:47, Gen.1:26, 4:1-4
2. This to me, means a very wicked tradition people insist to hold on to!
3. Man’s started traditions are preventing 99% of the people on earth from salvation in Jesus!
4. Some insist, believe Jesus is a Jewish thing or a foreign religion…!
5. I insist believe Jesus is a God giving blessing for all people on earth! Mark 16:15-16
6. I insist Buddhism is an Indian people thing, made in India, not belong to Chinese people!
B. Paul was greatly distressed by their man made religious tradition! Acts 17:16
1. Paul was waiting for them in Athens, he was greatly distressed to see that the city was full of idols.
2. People at the time were willing to reason! Acts 17:17
So he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and the God-fearing Greeks, as well as in the
market place day by day with those who happened to be there.
3. A group of Philosophers were willing to listen too! Acts 17:18
A group of Epicurean and Stoic philosophers began to dispute with him. Some of them asked:
What is this babbler trying to say? Others remarked, he seems to be advocating foreign gods.
The creator God, Paul was preaching, at this time had become to them ‘a foreign god’!
4. They said this because Paul was preaching the gospel about Jesus and the resurrection.
5. Then they took him and brought him to a meeting of the Areopagus, where they said to him:
May we know what this new teaching is that you are presenting? Acts 17:19
How wonder this can be, if we have people like these around!
6. You are bringing some strange ideas to our ears, and we want to know what they mean. Ac.17:20
What comes from Jesus had become to them ‘strange ideas’!
Thank God, they wanted to know! Where are these kind of people?
C. What Paul preached are in the Bible. Acts 24:14
1. But this I confess unto thee, that after the Way which they call a sect, so serve I the God of our
fathers, believing all things which are according to the law, and which are written in the prophets;
2. Brethren, when I came unto you, came not with excellence of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to
you the testimony of God. 1 Cor.2:1
3. My speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of
the Spirit and of power. 1 Cor.2:4
4. We speak wisdom, however, among them that are full grown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of
the rulers of this world, who are coming to nothing. But we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the
that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory. 1 Cor.2:6-7
5. We preached with the mind of Christ. 1 Cor.2:16
6. As Jesus said: For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with
certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. John 17:8
7. I want you to know, brethren, the gospel I preached to you is not something made up by man.
Nor did made it up. I receive it from Jesus Christ. Gal.1:11-12
D. The Father in heaven started the tradition!
1. God said: Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea
and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move
along the ground. Gen.1:26
2. Adam lay with his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said:
With the help of the LORD I have brought forth a man." Later she gave birth to his brother Abel.
Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. In the course of time Cain brought some of the
fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. But Abel brought fat portions from some of the
firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, Gen.4:1-4
3. The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live
in temples built by hands. Acts 17:24
4. Once Paul was extremely zealous for the traditions of fathers! Gal.1:14
5. Paul once to be one of these! Mark 7:8-9
Jesus said: You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men.
And he said to them: You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe
your own traditions!
E. Wonder no more, why I keep asking: Who started this kind of worship?
1. Who started this religion, who started this tradition?
2. Why do I have to follow them? Why don't they follow me to follow what is in the Bible!
3. If they do not follow what is in the Bible! Why should anyone follow them?
4. Is the name of your church in the Bible?
5. Why don’t they shout back: Is the name of your church in the Bible?
6. I met some in China: Thank God, John, you are my angel from God.
If you did not come to tell me this, I would waste my life and die in ignorance!
7. I met a few in Hong Kong 48 years ago! Said the same to me!
F. Yes, I met brother Yee, here in N.Y.C.!
1. 1995 a 30 year old young man came to church!
2. What draw you to this church?
3. I walked by this church and saw a group of well dressed young people came out!
Because the church I went to mostly old people! I want to be among younger people!
4. What made you want to attend church?
5. This older gentleman, Mr. Yee told me that I should go to church!
6. Can you give me his phone number? I have to ask for his permission first!
7. After I got the phone number I called!
8. Hi, Mr. Yee. Who are you? I am John Chan, preacher of the church of Christ.
9. What do you want? I want to tell you about a young man came to this church!
10. He said, you told him to go to church. Now he is here!
11. You were kind enough to tell him to go to church and he is smart enough to listen!
12. Now you must come to check out this church! If this church do not teach what is in the Bible!
He will be condemned together with us! Then his blood will be on you!
13. I am coming this coming Sunday. He was baptized at age 76!
He had been worshiping God via TV broadcasting for many years!
The Lord knows, I am waiting for this kind of people show up everyday!
