5. A human has spirit, also called soul and body! Two lives!

      The NIV Bible with 115 worked together for 10 years thus translated 1 Thes.5:23 this way!

1. At dead of the body what happen?
2. Body returns to ground it came from! Ground can be tombs or graves!
3. Spirit returns to God who gave it. Ecc.12:7

    God gave each human a spirit so the body can live! For the body without the spirit is dead. James 2:26

3. This is what Apostle Paul said in Acts 17:26!

    God determines how long and where each human live on this earth!

1. What happen to the soul when the body died?

    Adam was created to be a living soul lives in a body!  God created his body with dust! Gen.2:7

1. Luke 16:22-24
2. The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side.

       The rich man also died and was buried. Lk.16:22

1. In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. Lk.16:23
2. So he called to him: Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue,

       because I am in agony in this fire.' Lk.16:24

2. Jn.5:28-29

    Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out—

    those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.

4. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them,

        and each person was judged according to what he had done. Rev.20:13

1. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Rev.20:14
2. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Rev.20:15
3. Jesus took soul to Paradise! Lk.23:40-43
4. One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us! Lk.23:39
5. But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence? Lk.23:40
6. We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong." Lk.23:41
7. Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. Lk.23:42
8. Jesus answered him: I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in Paradise. Lk.23:43
9. Judgment for the soul:
10. And inasmuch as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this judgment. Heb.9:27
11. When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. Matt.25:31
12. All the nations will be gathered before him,

    and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. Matt.25:32

4. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Matt.25:33
5. Then the King will say to those on his right, `Come, you who are blessed by my Father;

    take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. Matt.25:34

6. Then he will say to those on his left,:

    Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. Matt.25:41

1. The dead in Christ rise to heaven! 1Thes.4:16-18
2. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet

   call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 1Thes.4:16

2. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.

    And so we will be with the Lord forever. 1Thes.4:17 

3. For souls to be in heaven one must be one of the dead in Christ!
4. At time of death one is a member of the church of Christ!

May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with all the saints!  Amen!  Rev.22:21
